Cross-Country Skiing in the Black Forest

Prior to meeting Porsche Design in Salzburg, we had been at a Porsche Factory Importer meeting in Ludwigsburg with our colleagues from Middle East, South Africa and the Far East.
After we had our meetings with Porsche Design in Salzburg and Zell Am See, we drove down into the Black Forest in our borrowed Porsche 924 turbo, to meet up with all the Porsche Importers who had decided to stay over. Porsche had arranged a cross-country skiing trip and a number of us had signed up and joined in.
Cross-country skiing is an extremely tiring sport and Bob and I had never done this before. Philip Kaes and Herbert Layda were representing Porsche AG and organising most things.
The days skiing was broken off by a lunch in the forest at a small inn where we had soup, bread and goulash. Most people were completely worn out and we were only half way through the day and we had the trip back to the hotel to make. There were a few who dropped out and took a taxi back, but we managed to stay the course.
We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening followed by a few hours in the nightclub. However I think we were all grateful to get to our beds that night.
